The Oklahoma City Thunder picked 19-year old center Steven Adams out of Pittsburgh with the #12 overall pick (1st round) of the 2013 NBA Draft. Adams is 7’0″, 250 pounds. Adams played in 32 games in his only year at Pitt (2012) and he averaged 23.4 minutes, 7.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game. Adams shot 57.1% from the floor, but only 44.3% from the free throw line last year. Adams is very raw, but you can’t teach size and the Thunder are desperate for help at center.
