The NBA has suspended 24-year old power forward Mitch McGary for the first 15 games of the 2016-17 season due to a violation of the league’s drug abuse policy. McGary played in 20 games (0 starts) for the Oklahoma City Thunder last year and he averaged 3.6 minutes, 1.3 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. He has now played in 52 games (2 starts) in his first two years with the Thunder and he has averaged 10.7 minutes, 4.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. McGary was the #21 overall pick (1st round) in the 2014 NBA Draft. He has been a disappointment to the Thunder so far in his career. He needs to clean up his act soon if he wants to keep getting paid to play basketball.
